City Break Bucharest – 3 nights Friday to Monday

The city offers a unique blend of Belle Époque elements and monumental architecture from the socialist era. Cultural life is also very lively: numerous museums, concerts, festivals, and theaters invite you to linger. With our City Break Bucharest, you can discover the city’s most important sights.
Relax and enjoy an all-inclusive package that includes airport transfers, comfortable accommodation with breakfast, guided tours, and all entrance fees.
Day 1 – Pick-up, city tour, and dinner
:: Pick-up from the airport.
:: Guided evening city tour – duration approx. 1–1.5 hours. Travel between destinations by car.
- The National Cathedral – an imposing monument with a height of 127 m, whose construction began in 2013.
- The Palace of Parliament – the second largest building in the world after the Pentagon (exterior tour) and Constitution Square (short story).
:: Recommendation *Dinner at a restaurant serving Romanian specialties – “Hanu’ lui Manuc.”

Day 2 – Guided tour of the old town and along Calea Victoriei (Victory Avenue)
Schedule (9–10 a.m. breakfast):
:: 11:00 a.m. – Drive to the old town.
:: 11:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. – Guided walking tour of the old town (approx. 5 km round trip). A 30-minute break is planned. Comfortable shoes are recommended.
:: 4:00 p.m. – Return trip to the guest house
:: 7:00 p.m. – Recommendation *Dinner at a restaurant serving Romanian specialties – “Caru’ cu bere.” Transportation to and from the restaurant will be by car.

The most important sights:
:: The Royal Court is where Bucharest’s development began.
:: Stavropoleos Monastery, built in 1724 by the Greek archimandrite Ioanichie Stratonikeas as a guesthouse church.
:: C.E.C. Palace (House of Savings and Awards), whose foundation stone was laid in 1897 in the presence of King Carol I of Romania and Queen Elisabeta.
:: Mecca – Villacrosse Passage – this elegant horseshoe-shaped shopping arcade was designed to connect Calea Victoriei (Victory Avenue) with the imposing headquarters of the National Bank.
:: Casa Capsa Patisserie – You will have the opportunity to try an exceptional dessert in one of the oldest (founded in 1852) and most famous patisseries in Bucharest.
:: The Royal Palace, which houses the Art Museum, was built in the 19th century. The Royal Palace building was used as a venue for official events of the Romanian royal family.
:: The Athenaeum houses the famous “George Enescu” Philharmonic Orchestra and is a center for cultural events, including concerts, art exhibitions, and conferences.
:: Calea Victoriei (Victory Road) and Piata Amzei Walk – an area with unique architecture; here you will find a variety of chic cafes, delicious Romanian pastries (our tip), and fashion stores.
Day 3 – Visit to the Palace of Parliament, the Village Museum, and Ceausescu’s House
Daily schedule (9–10 a.m. breakfast):
:: 11:00 a.m. – Drive to the first destination. Travel between locations and the return trip to the guest house will be by car.
:: 11:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. – Visit to the three sights
:: 4:30 p.m. – Return trip to the guest house
:: 7:00 p.m. – Recommended dinner: “Hanu’ Berarilor.” Arrival and departure by car.

:: Palace of Parliament – guided tour of the interior of the palace
:: Dimitrie Gusti Village Museum – discover rural life and traditional houses from different regions.
:: Ceausescu House – visit the luxurious residence of Nicolae and Elena Ceausescu.
Day 4 – Visit to the Patriarchal Cathedral and the Tiriac Auto Collection
Schedule (9–10 a.m. breakfast):
:: 11:00 a.m. – Drive to the first destination
Depending on the time available, we will visit the following sights:
:: Patriarchal Cathedral – an impressive 17th-century architectural monument.
:: Tiriac Collection – a collection of 150 cars owned by former tennis player and current businessman Ion Țiriac.
:: Transport to the airport.

City breaks can be organized every weekend from Friday to Monday. Reservations must be made at least two weeks in advance.
